That Feeling Co is a way to invite all of nature’s wild beauty into your space. Through our exploration of biophilic design, we were able to curate a collection of not only plants for all skill levels, but homegoods and gifts; many from local creators fostering a feeling of collaboration and community.

We pair botanical expertise with the comfort of a crafted coffee beverage to encompass the warmth we all crave in Alaska. We strive to make you feel as at home in our space, as you do in yours.

O U R S P A C E

When choosing our space, we wanted to create a place of community unlike any we have seen in Anchorage. Our family had their own dream of a location to offer fresh produce and nourishing juice/smoothies. We found the perfect spot that would foster the growth of each of our businesses. Johnny and Ginna Baldiviez created their business called Johnny’s Produce along with their sons Sterling and Dillon. Their other son Carson and his wife Tanya dreamed up That Feeling Co. We are separate businesses, but we share the same warm and inviting space.

O U R M I S S I O N

When dreaming up That Feeling Co, we wanted to promote creators, artists, and makers too. A photographer and artist herself, co-owner Tanya Val works to feature small companies like AK Macrame, Waterbody, Happy Mountain Designs, Fringe and Fibre and more. Some of our goods were created by businesses of only two people, sometimes less. It is very important for us to lift them up, amplify their creativity, and support each other. We look forward to creating events for local makers to showcase their craft, and celebrate our community.

Our employees are all plant and coffee lovers, specializing in both. We are extensively trained in botanical expertise, constantly expanding our knowledge base daily in order to offer you the best advice for your plants. We take care of each plant, wiping every leaf and checking for pests. We can also offer you some interior design advice to ensure you go home with the perfect treasures for your space. Our coffee training includes information on coffee bean roasting as well as how to create latte art in your handcrafted beverage. We thoughtfully curate monthly specials often using local and nourishing ingredients.

We are Carson and Tanya, owners of a new house plant and coffee shop here in Anchorage, Alaska!
We thought we’d do a little introduction to us and what we’re all about. Our plant journey started about 9 years ago when we first started dating. Whether plants were gifted, passed down, or simply purchased, we loved bringing nature into our space.

We love that each plant has a personality and a sweet memory attached. Soon after, caring for plants became a mindful routine that we looked forward too, together. Cue smooth jazzy/hip hop tunes and the next hour was dedicated for our plant children and all the #plantfeels
